Survey
1. Organizer
The “Prize Draw-4-SCUDO Survey” (hereinafter the “Prize Draw”) is organized by ERTICO, a registered company in Belgium, acting as coordinator of the SCUDO.
2. Nature of the Prize Draw
This Prize Draw is organized solely as an incentive to encourage participation in a research survey and does not constitute a game of chance, gambling activity, or lottery within the meaning of the Belgian Act of 7 May 1999 on Games of Chance.
Participation is free and involves no purchase, payment, or financial stake.
3. Eligibility
Participation is open to natural persons aged 18 years or older.
Employees of ERTICO and their immediate family members may participate unless otherwise restricted by internal ERTICO rules.
Participants must meet the survey’s eligibility criteria, including having lived in or travelled to one of the SCUDO pilot cities or regions within the past (1) year, as specified in the survey description.
4. Prize Draw Period
The Prize Draw runs from 19th of January until 22nd of February.
Entries submitted outside this period will not be considered.
5. How to Participate
Participation is free of charge.
To participate, individuals must complete the online survey available at https://scudo-project.eu/scudo-2/ by choosing their language. For identifying in a unique manner the winners, participants should take a screenshot of the ending statement or select the downloadable PDF with the participants answers. Thus, with the random participant code generated at the end of the survey, Data Privacy is ensured preventing of having two winners with the same code.
6. Prize
The prize consists of a financial incentive of EUR 50 per pilot and per week.
The prize is non-transferable and will be paid via bank transfer to the selected participant(s).
No alternative or cash equivalent other than the stated payment will be offered.
7. Selection of Participants
Selected participants will be chosen at random from all valid survey responses.
Selections will take place weekly (every Monday) during the Prize Draw period using a computerized random selection process.
8. Notification
The winners will be announced on SCUDO’s digital communication platforms. To claim their prize, winners should send an email to general@scudo-project.eu within 30 days of the final winner announcement including the downloadable survey end statement as PDF or a screenshot with the generated code. Once this email is available, the bank transfer will be initiated.
9. Data Protection
Personal data collected in connection with the survey and Prize Draw will be processed exclusively for research, administrative, and prize-distribution purposes.
Processing is carried out in accordance with:
- Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR)
- The SCUDO’s data protection and privacy provisions as defined in the Grant Agreement
Participants have the right to access, rectify, restrict, or erase their personal data in accordance with applicable law.
10. Liability
ERTICO shall not be liable for technical failures, system interruptions, or other events beyond its reasonable control that may affect participation or communication.
This limitation does not exclude liability in cases of fraud, gross negligence, or mandatory legal provisions under Belgian law.
11. Applicable Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms and Conditions are governed by Belgian law.
Any dispute arising in connection with the Prize Draw shall fall under the jurisdiction of the competent Belgian courts.
12. Modification or Cancellation
ERTICO reserves the right to modify, suspend, or cancel the Prize Draw if circumstances so require. Any changes will be communicated via the Prize Draw-4-SCUDO webpage.

Belgian Act of 7 May 1999 on Games of Chance and aligned with GDPR and EU project practice is applied.
